• Study Skills 12 - Period 8 in Room 230 (Syllabus)

Study Skills is a class designed to help students improve learning effectiveness and motivation. This course covers strategies and techniques that lead to successful transitions, including college and career readiness. In addition, students will work in small groups or one-to-one with their Special Education teachers to advocate for Individualized Education Plan (IEP) accommodations and to achieve their IEP goals and transition plans.

In this course, we will be focusing on post-secondary goals and plans. We will be ensuring that we will meet all graduation requirements by the end of the year. This will include the college process, other post-secondary options, and career readiness. We will also be developing individual Exit Summaries that will be discussed during each student’s Annual Review meeting.
