Introducing, "People of PCSD." A new profile series celebrating those that make our schools stand out. There are so many wonderful members of our faculty and staff that go above and beyond in their roles here at Peekskill City School District. In this series, we will highlight the unsung heroes that operate behind the scenes, put in the extra hours and give their all in order to ensure that our students have the best educational experience possible. We are excited to feature Hillcrest's Karen Leggio as our first profile. Click on the headline above to read Ms. Leggio's story.
The Mobile Food Pantry is coming to Hillcrest! On Thursday, October 26 and again on Wednesday, November 15 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. a selection food will be available for pick up at Hillcrest Elementary. We encourage our families to take advantage of this free resource. To help our efforts, we will also need volunteers to help set up, distribute food and clean up. If you are able to lend a hand, please contact email@example.com.
On Saturday, September 9, 10 Peekskill High School junior and senior members from the PHS Iron Devils Robotics team took part in the world wide unveiling of the new First Tech Challenge competition season at Pace University in White Plains, NY. “I cannot be more proud of our students,” said PHS Robotics instructor Carlo Vidrini. In other exciting Robotics program news, Peekskill High School is happy to announce that the school was officially granted permission to host one of the FTC competition’s qualification rounds at their building this winter. More details to follow!
The Peekskill City School District is excited to announce that our websites will have a new look coming this school year! Our new responsive website templates will provide viewers easier access to information no matter what device they are using, be it a desktop, mobile device and/or tablet! In an effort to keep information consistent with its current placement on the website, most site information will be structured the same, with a few homepage design improvements for quicker access to information. We understand that even minor website changes can be confusing to some, especially at the beginning of the school year when users are most likely to be frequenting the sites. Please know that we are here to help. Should you have any questions, or need assistance navigating the new sites, please contact District Communications Specialist Ms. Laura Belfiore at 914-737-3300 ext. 347 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
