The arts are universally powerful in their ability to connect cultures, history and teach those to interpret in their own way. There is no formula to viewing or making art. It is this power and connection that draws me to working with students. The arts are essential in building confidence, cognitive ability, critical thinking and expanding our youth’s ability to not only use it as a tool for deconstructing the world around them, but also explore and reflect on individuality and the role they play in the world.
