• Intermediate Algebra - Period 7 in Library A

Intermediate Algebra is a one-year course that expands upon the concepts learned in Common Core Algebra I and Common Core Geometry (Analytic) to promote a deeper understanding of more complex algebraic topics. In this class, students will develop the ability to explore and solve real-world application problems, demonstrate the appropriate use of graphing calculators, and communicate mathematical ideas clearly. This course continues to build on the foundation of Algebra skills and mathematical literacy that will help students be successful in every subsequent course in mathematics. Topics include solving linear and quadratic equations and inequalities, systems of equations, factoring, quadratic functions, absolute value functions, exponential functions, rational functions, radical functions, rational exponents, the real and complex number systems, and applications.
