    P.E. Grading Policy

    * There are 20 classes of PE for a school quarter (grade is based out of 100).

    * Each class has a 5 point value.

Points are based off of the following:

    1. Participation (5 points off) & Effort (2 points off)

(involved in class and puts forth an acceptable effort)

    1. Cooperation (2 points off )

(follows instructions, does not use electronic devices in class, and interacts well with others)

    1. Attendance (5 points off after 2 absences) and Punctuality (unexcused lateness to class under 3 minutes is 1 pt., over 3 minutes is 2 pts, half class or more is 3 pts)

(attends class and is on time)

    1. Prepared for class (2 points off if student does not wear sneakers)

(wears athletic footwear; Crocs, Sandals, Boots are not permitted to participate in)

*Medically excused students will maintain their current grade until approved to return to PE.

If the medical excuse exceeds 8 classes or more, then a "medical" will be assigned for their grade for that quarter.

*If a student has 8 or more absences for the quarter, then an "excessive absences" comment will be listed and a failure assigned for their grade for that quarter.
