  • Students Send Letters to Soldiers for Holidays

Last week, Grade 8 students in Ms. Laible's Spanish class, Mrs. DiCuio and Mr. Salvatore's Social Studies classes, and Grade 6 students in Mr. Gonzalez and Ms. King's Humanities classes took the time to write letters and draw pictures for deployed US soldiers. The letters were sent to the 10th Mountain Infantry Division in Afghanistan. The students hope these letters of appreciation will bring joy to soldiers who aren't able to come home for the holidays.

After her presentation, Lai took questions from the students about her life and career as a writer.
