• My Brother's Keeper

In 2014, former President Barack Obama established the My Brother’s Keeper [MBK] Task Force at the federal level. My Brother's Keeper initiative seeks to change the narrative of boys and young men of color, and all students, by closing and eliminating the opportunity gaps they face and helping them to reach their full potential.

To date, the middle school has over forty-five student mentees accompanied by nine different middle school/district mentors. The mentors check and connect with each of their mentees weekly. We work together to set and maintain goals in order to embark on a successful and engaging school year. There will also be diverse opportunities for the mentees to partake in, both inside and outside of school within our Peekskill community.
