Welcome to Mr. Cancro's 2021- 2022 ELA Class! Thank you for taking the time to visit.  I am extremely excited to begin a new year with you. I am looking forward to an amazing year!

A little about me.... This is my 30th year teaching, and my 28th year teaching 6th grade in Peekskill. I have taught at Oakside Elementary School, Hillcrest Elementary School, and in the original Peekskill Middle School. Personally, I have three children. My two oldest are presently attending college and my youngest is a freshman in highschool. For me, Peekskill is my home away from home.  It has been an honor to be a member of the Peekskill teaching/learning community.  If you would like to contact me, please send an email to the address below. • Please take the time to view the "Back To School" Power-point located below. There is some very important information included that may be extremely helpful including the Grading Policy. This information was originally presented during Back To School Night on 9/19/19.
• Please be advised that when students hand in work more than one school day late they will not receive a passing grade for that assignment unless it is presented with a note from the student's parent/guardian. Each student is made aware of any upcoming assignments in advance as well as the respective "due date".
