    Papa

    Says rain

    Makes things grow.

I stood out in the rain

    All morning

With my toes in the mud,

    But Grandma says I really

    Didn't get any Bigger.

    It's just that my pants

    Shrunk.

    For My ELL students,

    Let the rain kiss you.

Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops.

Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

The rain makes running pools in the gutter.

The rain plays a little sleep-song on our roof at night--

    And I love the rain.

Poem of the Day - March 26, 2020

Dirt on My Shirt Image result for kid playing in the mud cartoon

    There's dirt on my shirt

    And leaves in my hair

    There's mud on my boots

    But I don't really care

Playing outside is so much fun

    To breathe the clean air

    And feel the warm sun

    To stomp in a puddle

    Or climb a big tree

    Makes me quite happy

    Just look and you'll see

    For My ELL students,

#1 -  If possible, take a little brain-break by getting fresh air outdoors.

#2 - Please continue to work on your ELL packet to increase your Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing skills.

    SNOWBALL by Shel Silverstein

    I made myself a snowball

    As perfect as could be.

I thought I'd keep it as a pet

And let it sleep with me.

    I made it some pajamas

And a pillow for its head.

Then last night it ran away,

But first it wet the bed.
