Pre-K students in Ms. Boyle’s Uriah Hill class recently enjoyed a visit to the Westchester Children's Museum in Rye, NY. While there, students participated in a day of hands on science exhibits. They were able to play in a wind tunnel, build a roller coaster and make an architectural building with wooden blocks.
To celebrate February being Dental Health Awareness Month, students at Uriah Hill Elementary recently enjoyed a visit from local dentist, Dr. Martinez. The students learned about how to brush their teeth by practicing on stuffed animals and each student was given a goody bag containing a new tooth brush, toothpaste and floss. Inspired by our District's "Dads Take Your Child to School Day," which took place earlier this school year, Uriah Hill recently decided to have a special day to welcome mothers and inspirational female role models into their students' classrooms. The school's "Mom's Brunch" was held December 9 and featured a variety of fun activities and delicious refreshments.
