"Team 26" Cyclists Ride Through Peekskill to Spread Their Message of Peace, Hope & Love

Peekskill Middle School social studies students recently welcomed cyclists from Team 26, a group riding in honor of those who lost their lives at Sandy Hook.

The bikers, who left Sandy Hook this morning, visited PKMS as part of their 600 mile trip. The purpose of the ride is to visit schools and communities to promote a message of peace, hope and love. Speakers also talked to students about the importance of being socially conscious and following current events. The group reminded the students that their voices matter and that they shouldn’t be afraid to speak up about issues that are important to them. The riders also challenged students to find a way to use their passions to make the world a better place.
