PHS' Dr. Jenna Ferris Appointed as Assistant Principal

Please welcome Dr. Jenna Ferris, who has been appointed to the position of Assistant Principal at Peekskill High School. Dr. Ferris will be working in the high school and is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations, providing instructional support and will assist with an array of additional responsibilities, alongside the administrative team.

 

Dr. Ferris brings with her over 16 years of experience in education all within the Peekskill City School District. Additionally, she was born and raised in Peekskill, as well as a graduate of Peekskill High School. Throughout her tenure at Peekskill, Dr. Ferris has worked in the Middle School, High School and most recently at Summit Academy. She has served on various building and district level committees and has taken on many leadership roles within the programs she has worked in.

 

Not only is she an active member of the school community, she also supports many youth organizations within the city of Peekskill. The Westchester Business Council has recognized her commitment to children, with their prestigious 40 under 40 award.

 

Dr. Ferris holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from The College of Mount Saint Vincent, A Masters in Education from Mercy College and obtained her Doctorate in Instructional Leadership from St. John’s University in 2012. She is a life- long learner who is proud to begin this knew chapter of her education career at her alma mater.
