Career Day Returns to PKMS on May 17 - Speakers Wanted!
Peekskill Middle School and the Peekskill PTO will be hosting their annual Career Day on Friday, May 17, 2019. This event was developed to demonstrate the connections between what we learn in school and how we apply it to our careers and daily lives.
We plan to host experts in the fields of graphic arts, medicine, law enforcement, computer technology, contracting, just to name a few. If you would like to participate and present, your contribution would be appreciated. Please contact us by May 1, 2019 if you would like to participate. If you know of anyone who does not have a child attending Peekskill Middle School who would like to participate, please pass this information along to them.
Our students will be meeting in groups of 15 to 25 for 42 minute periods. We will accommodate, to the best of our ability, your scheduling and material needs. In addition, if you are interested we can supply a list of ideas that you may want to include in your presentation. We invite you to share your time, experiences, knowledge and skills with our students. Whether you can share one period or the entire school day, any time will be meaningful to them.
Our school day runs for eight periods. The schedule is as follows:
Period 1 – 8:25 a.m. – 9:11 a.m.
Period 2 – 9:14 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Period 3– 10:03 a.m- 10:49 a.m.

Thank you in advance for any time you can offer our students. We often ask our children, “What would you like to be when you grow up?” If your child is like most, they have no answer. Maybe after this unique opportunity, they will. We hope you will join us in making Career Day an informative and successful event.
