  • "Wired Within Society" - Socially Inspired Student Art on Display at Garrison Art Center

At Peekskill High School, Ms. Heather Brown’s Advanced Art 1 class has created socially driven artwork entitled “Wired Within Society.” The pieces were created to be displayed at the Garrison Art Center’s themed show, “Icon Pop.” To gain inspiration for the project, PHS students viewed 1960’s pop art to determine what the messages were behind the pieces from that era, and then collaboratively created their own pieces about today’s social issues. The show will run from Saturday, March 4 to Saturday, March 11. Click on the headline above for a list of students involved in this project.
